ett™ helps better engage patients in their care by experiencing others' lives

Treating child and adolescent mental health problems is complex, and engaging children and families in needed care can be difficult.

The purpose of the video clip is to show how medical professionals learn active listening and active empathy skills and practice them by immersing themselves in the lives of parents.  In this way, they can better engage with the children and families in their care.
About the Video.  This video (to the right) shows how doctors in ETT™training use all the skills learned in ETT™.  Evelyn Montanez, PhD, plays the role of a parent to better understand the needs of those in her care; Peter Jensen, MD, plays his real-life role as a child psychiatrist and listens to her needs and wants, and engages empathically.
Participants in the video include, l to r: Peter Jensen, MD, and Evelyn Montanez, PhD.
